Mongare Gladys is a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in governance, peace, human rights, gender, and advocacy.
Gladys holds a bachelor's degree in Community Development, Peace, and Conflict Transformation from Daystar University. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in research and Public Policy at the University of Nairobi.
Gladys has spearheaded impactful programs focusing on marginalized communities, extractive industries, and social justice. Her notable achievements include being nominated by the U.S. Department of State to participate in the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) in 2022, representing Kenyan civil society in the African project, "Sustainability and the Extractive Industry."
During the program, Gladys engaged with U.S. policymakers on sustainable and responsible natural resource extraction practices. She led advocacy efforts for responsible mining, contributing to national dialogues on land rights, environmental sustainability, and gender equality.
