Robert Waweru

Robert Waweru is a seasoned advocate specializing in minority rights and anti-discrimination initiatives in Kenya and beyond. With expertise in stateless persons, refugees, migrants, and LGBTQI+ rights, he successfully champions citizenship for communities like Makonde, Pemba, Rwandese, and Shona. As the chair of the Eastern Africa Nationality Network (EANN), he leads efforts to eradicate statelessness in the region. Waweru also focuses on refugees' rights and socioeconomic integration, using research, advocacy, and strategic litigation. Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Arts in Conflict and Peace Studies from the University of Nairobi, Waweru combines academic knowledge with practical experience for impactful contributions.
