This report is a product of a study that was commissioned by and undertaken on behalf of the Muindi Mbingu Foundation by the Kenya Human Rights Commission. The objectives of the study was to identify human rights abuses, to which members of the Muindi Mbingu family, and other residents of Machakos County, were subjected to during the colonial period. Machakos then was mainly inhabited by people from the Akamba (or Kamba) ethnic community.
