On August 2, 2024 five Kenyan civil society organizations (CSOs) filed a case against the Public Benefits Organizations Regulatory Authority (PBO Regulatory Authority), its chairman and acting CEO.
In the petition, the petitioners claim that the respondents violated the Kenyan Constitution and the Public Benefits Organizations Act (PBO Act) through their actions related to a press release issued in July 2024.
